Events March 13 Old School Game Day CCJ's Children's Ministry will be hosting an Old School Game Day on Saturday, March 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. This is an activity for the family (parents and children - fifth grade and younger) to participate in. There will be a host of games and activities including kickball (weather permitting), bubbles, chalk drawing, hopscotch, board games and much more. Contact Nicole Weisman for more information. March 18 S.O.S. (Seniors Offering Services) Trip S.O.S. will be heading to a gospel music concert at Valley Mission Church in Bedford, Ind., featuring the The Perrys. Admission is $4 (there will also be an offering taken). The CCJ bus will be leaving at 5:15 p.m. from CCJ. There will be a sign-up sheet in the lobby at CCJ. If you have questions, contact Lois Mason at 812-536-3490. April 2 Good Friday Service 7 p.m. Join us for CCJ's first-ever Good Friday service. We will spend this service focusing on the sacrifice Jesus made for us through music, media and words. The subject matter is intense so parental guidance is suggested. There will be a supervised activity for children in the children's area. April 3 Children's Easter Egg Hunt CCJ's Children's Ministry will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt (an event for parents and children - fifth grade and younger) on Saturday, April 3 from 2 to 3 p.m. Donations of candy should be given by March 28. Contact Nicole Weisman for more information. April 4 Easter Sunday at CCJ 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Join us to celebrate the fact that Jesus is alive! Children's ministry available during all three services. April 9 Family Movie Night 7 p.m. CCJ's Children's Ministry will be hosting a family movie night. You will have to attend to find out what movie is showing. All families are invited. April 11 CCJ Launches Third Sunday Service 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. There will be no children's ministry (The Spring) or nursery at the 8 a.m. service. July 11 CCJ Summer Carnival Make plans now to attend CCJ's carnival. July 12 to 16 VBS at CCJ Mark your calendars for CCJ's 2010 VBS. Classes & Groups Oasis Classes (Sunday Evenings*) -- The Gospel of Mark The earliest and shortest of the four Gospels, the Gospel of Mark presents Jesus as both a suffering Servant and victorious Messiah. In this class, we’ll walk through the entirety of Mark’s gospel, gaining a complete picture of the man, ministry and story of Jesus. There is no cost for this class. -- iMarriage Regardless of how good your marriage may be, there are always areas that you and your spouse can improve on. This six-week study will help you learn how to manage and transform the expectations you have regarding your marriage. * Sunday Evening Child Care: For those with children from birth to fifth grade. This is a time of child care while adults are attending Sunday evening Oasis classes. What We Believe Class An orientation to CCJ, its beliefs and ministries.
