Just Walk Across the Room

Oasis: Fall 2008
Training Camp: For both mature Christians and those who are just beginning their walk with Christ, it is often good to step back and take another look at the basics of their faith. Training Camp is an elective designed to do just that. Led by Pastors Darrel Land, Mark Messmore and elder Terry Enlow, this class looks at some of the foundational beliefs of our faith (e.g. God, Jesus, communion, spiritual gifts, etc.) and examines what Scripture has to say about each of them. Beginning September 21. There is no sign-up necessary for this class and no cost involved.

Through The Bible in 90 Days: From Genesis chapter one to Revelation 22:21, group members will read through the entirety of Scripture in just a few months. Each week the group will join together during Oasis to review what they have read and receive some insight regarding passages from the previous week. Interested in diving in? Sign up with the CCJ office. Cost for the books will be $30*.

Revelation: Beginning October 5. Matt Sullivan, preacher at Shoals Christian Church and professor at Louisville Bible College, will be joining us for a six-week overview of the book of Revelation. For this elective there will be no cost, however please do contact the office so we can have an idea about how many will be there.

Pause: A DVD-based series. Beginning November 23, this four-part series will focus on the temptations faced by Jesus as he was in the desert, and what we can learn about the temptations we face in our own lives. For this elective there will be no cost, however please do contact the office so we can have an idea about how many will be there.

*In the case of any elective, we never want cost to be a prohibitive factor. So if you ever want to get into an elective session and the cost is deterring you, simply call the office and we'll see what arrangements can be made.
