How To Post Photos

If you would like to post a photo with your blog, here’s how:

1.) Pick a photo, then resize it to NO MORE than 445 pixels wide (so that it will fit into the post area). Use any number of photo editing tools/software to do this.

2.) Below the box you write your post in is a box that says “Upload.” Choose your file, give it a title and description if you wish and click on the “upload” button.

3.) When it has uploaded, you will see a thumbnail image, click on it.

4.) Click on the words, “using thumbnail.” It will change to “using original.” This is what you want. (Remember to resize the photo FIRST).

5.) Click on the words “Send to Editor.”

6.) If you are using Internet Explorer or Firefox:

– After you have sent the photo to the editing box (i.e. where you type your posts), click on the photo (it will be small).

– Then click on the button above the box that looks like a little tree (the symbol for inserting/editing images).

– Make sure that your photo is still selected and make sure the box is filled in for ’image url.’

– Go to the drop down menu next to the word ‘Alignment’ and select however you want your text to be around the photo. (Note: If you’ve made your photo the right size, selecting ‘Baseline’ will make it look like most every other photo on this blog has looked, with text underneath the photo).

If you are using Safari (for Macs): The code for your photo will appear in the box you are typing in. Put the block of code wherever you want it in your blog.

6.) Click “Publish” under your blog and that’s it.
